SPA MAINTENANCE GUIDE
RE-START AND START-UP
Begin by oxidising the water with a SPA Granular or a NON-Chlorine shock
DAILY ROUTINE
Test your pH level and sanitizer
Clean dirty waterlines cause by body oils and lotions
FORTNIGHTLY AND MONTHLY
Clean the cartridge filter with a good cartridge cleaner
It’s always advisable to have a spare filter soaking in cartridge cleaner
The two cartridges just get rotated on a monthly or fortnightly basis
Test and Adjust alkalinity and calcium hardness
WATER TESTING
Switch off the blower when testing SPA chemicals
Bubbles heighten the pH and reduce the alkalinity
DRAINING AND REFILLING YOUR SPA
Total Dissolved [TDS] builds up more rapid in a SPA baths due to the hotter water and relatively heavy volume of bathers, which negatively affects sanitising of the water causes scaling. To prevent TDS rising above 15 000ppm, drain the spa periodically. There is no rule of thumb, but every for to six weeks is advisable. The following formula can also be use as a guide to when to drain your SPA.
